Annapurna Panorama Trekking

The Annapurna Panorama Trekking in the Annapurna Conservation Area is one of the major trekking destinations in Nepal. From Poonhill, the majestic view of sunrise and the Dhaulagiri range will inspire many, whereas, in ABC, we will be standing inside the mountain closest, one we saw from Poonhill. From Pokhara, we walk along picturesque villages and one of Nepal’s biggest rhododendron forests which, in spring, bursts with many different hues. The trail to this tremendous scene ascends the Annapurna foothills through forested hillsides, where we are given a taste of Nepal’s magical and majestic vistas with a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

The differences in topography and climatic conditions amaze you with the variety in vegetation on each step and at each corner. After spending one beautiful morning on the hill with other happy travellers,  you know you'll return someday. On top of Poon Hill, also known as the "Wender of Asia," where you will get a chance to see the best sunrise view in the garden of the Himalayas. Mt Fishtail 6997M, Mt Annapurna South 7219M, Mt Annapurna I 8091M, Mt Nilgiri 7061M, Mt Gangapura 7455M, Mt Dhaulagiri 8172M, Mt Dhaulagiri I 7751M, Mt Dhaulagiri II 7715 M, Mt Dhaulagiri IV 7661M, Mt.On Poon Hill, you will enjoy the glowing colours of nature from one side to another, the rising sun, and its reflection on the mountain before you see the sun. From the top of the hill, you can see the Tibetan plateau, the city behind the mountains, the world's deepest gorge, the world's seventh-highest Dhaulagiri range, and many more.

From Poonhill, we trek to Annapurna Base Camp ( ABC).  It is a deep glacier, which gives the effect of an amphi theatre surrounded by a ring of high peaks, including Hun Chuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Machhapuchhre. The Range of Annapurna holds huge glaciers on its slopes. Mt. Annapurna I is the main peak of this chain of mountains, which includes four other peaks that share its name: Annapurna II (7937 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), Annapurna IV (7525 m), Annapurna South (7219 m).

This 15-day program is a perfect introduction to Nepal’s mountain treasures. The trek finishes at the magnificent lake town of Pokhara, where you can relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the lake and its backdrop of those snow-capped mountains seen from Poonhill and surrounded by ABC.

Mt. Annapurna, the 10th highest mountain in the world, is at an altitude of 8,091 m (26,545 ft).  Annapurna is a Sanskrit name that means "Full of Grains'' and is normally translated as “Goddess of the Harvests” or more simply ‘The Provider. In Hinduism, Annapurna is regarded as “the universal and timeless kitchen-goddess, the mother who feeds”. It is located east of a great gorge cut through the Himalayas by the Kali Gandaki River, which separates it from the Dhaulagiri massif.

 

Itinerary

This itinerary is developed considering multiple factors that give you the ultimate travel experience, enjoy flora and fauna, less possibility of altitude sickness and the best location to enjoy nature and culture. you will be greeted and transferred to the Hotel in Kathmandu. Briefing about Kathmandu City, climate, and Pre-Trip meeting. Afternoon/ Evening for independent activities. Overnight at hotel

Visits in Kathmandu: Swayambhu Stupa (World Heritage Site), also known as The Monkey Temple, with its 2500 years of history. Later visit Kathmandu Durbar Square (WHS) where we can see the Newari Culture and Architecture, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, the ancient royal residence, Kasthamandap, The Living Goddess Kumari temple, e, etc. Finally, another visit to Patan Durbar Square (WHS), known as Lalitpur, means The City of Fine Art. The square is famous for good examples of wood and stone carving temples, masterpiece wood carving windows and doors, Taleju temple, The Royal Bath, Krishna Temple, etc. Overnight at the Hotel.

After breakfast, we will travel to Pokhara (either by tourist bus, air, or private vehicle). At Pokhara, we walk around the lakeside and make final preparations. Depending on arrival time, the activities may vary.

After breakfast, we head towards Birethanti. We will begin our walk after reaching just above Birethanti. As our final destination for the day is Ulleri, we will have lunch along the way and keep climbing up to reach Ulleri. Once you reach Ulleri, We will see the majestic Annapurna South. he route passes through terraced farmland, picturesque landscapes, traditional villages, and rhododendron forests, which, in spring, burst with many different colors.

After breakfast, we will begin our trek again to reach Ghorepani. The name Ghorepani means "Ghore" means horse and "Pani" means water. Ghorepani is one of the most beautiful places on the route, as it also serves as a hill station for Poonhill. From Ghorepani, different mountain ranges such as the Annapurna range, the Dhaulagiri range, and many other mountains can be seen.

At Ghorepani, we will wake up early to climb ( 45 minutes to an hour) before sunrise to witness the wonder of Asia. The spectacular sunrise on the mountains At Poonhill, we could see the trail we had walked so far. After enjoying one beautiful morning on top of the hill with fellow happy travellers, we will continue our journey to reach Tadapani. After Breakfast at Ghorepani, we will trek towards Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). From Ghorepani, we will walk downhill to reach our day destination Tadapani ( Farwater). Tadapani is a Small mountain hamlet with a close-up view of the Annapurna range.

The Jungle, the uphill and downhill, the chirping birds, the river and the mountains will lead us to our day destination Chhomrong. At Chhomrong the trail coming from Jhinu Danda merges into one trail towards ABC.

We will have a short day today. From Chomroung the trail ascends through forested hillsides and narrow river valleys. To Reach Dovan the trail is mainly uphill and downhill.

From Dovan, We will continue to follow the trail through forested hillsides and narrow river valleys. On the way we will visit the astonishing wonder of 108 waterfalls and Baraha temple premises, The scenic waterfall and the centre of faith of local Gurung communities. From here, our trail winds up towards Hotel Himalayan and then Deurali to reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp, remaining on the west bank of the Modi River. The valley opens wide as we gain altitude. At Deurali, the Mountain Vista welcomes us with a majestic view of Machhapuchhre Himal and other mountains as we climb upwards.

Today, we reach the trek's highest point, Annapurna Base Camp. It is 2-3 hours from Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Annapurna Base Camp welcomes you with breathtaking snow-capped peaks. It combines natural beauty, cultural experiences, and the beauty of the Annapurna Mountains. The magical and majestic sunrises and sunsets over the Annapurna and surrounding mountains cap the amazing Annapurna Base Camp experience. At ABC, the surrounding mountains and glaciers give the effect of an arena surrounded by a ring of mountains.

The dawn at Base Camp is spectacular, so get up early! The peaks of Annapurna 1, Macchapucchre, Annapurna South, Tent Peak, Gangapurna, Himchuli, and Annapurna 3 welcome you to enjoy a wonderful morning experience with fellow travellers from around the globe. After breakfast, we will Return to Bamboo by taking the same route.

From Bamboo, we will continue our downhill journey towards Jhinu Danda. Today is the last day of our trek. From Jhinu we will ride for 2 hours to reach the lakeside town of Pokhara. At Jhinu there is a natural hot spring to rest tired bodies before we head towards lakeside Pokhara, where you can relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the lake and its backdrop mountains that you have experienced at Poonhill and Base Camp.

After breakfast, we will go to the Tourist Bus Park to catch a bus to Kathmandu. The road follows the Trisuli River where you see many people rafting on the river, green mountains, and traditional villages. Overnight at Hotel Kathmandu.

Rest Day/ Free Day in Kathmandu for Shopping or independent activities.

You will be transferred to the international airport for departure.
